The Political Leader of the Democratic Party for the Tirana Region, Belind Këlliçi, has called the May 11 elections an electoral farce.

Invited to SYRI TV, Këlliçi said that Prime Minister Edi Rama has shamed the Albanian state due to his close ties to organized crime and drug cartels.

According to him, Rama is a hostage to organized crime gangs. Këlliçi also said that SPAK acted under Rama's direction, for the "Ura" operation. 

"We are in the phase of dismantling the electoral farce of those who are following us, to be clear with the people, there were no elections on May 11, nor were there any votes. There was an electoral farce, and a farce as such will be dismantled for the citizens for once, because it is a farce. There is no citizen who does not understand it.

What impresses me this time is that everywhere you go, they agree that it's a farce. Here, everyone agrees that the votes were stolen, everyone agrees that crime was used, everyone agrees that the elections were manipulated. But everyone agrees that this is how Albania ended up today. You have a prime minister who, since yesterday, has a very nice nickname of 'Edi Poja', for example. You have a prime minister who is a prime minister hostage to organized crime gangs.

You have a prime minister today who is a disgrace to the Albanian State, who is completely connected to organized crime, to drug cartels, to drug traffickers. And I am sorry today that we are talking, even though I had a constructive relationship with SPAK, what we have seen in the last 48 hours of the action of the Poja gang in Troplina and Durrës, where the arrest warrants of the Italian anti-mafia have come, so they have come since February to arrest the gang members, and it is the only gang whose leader has not been arrested. Meanwhile, SPAK has acted after the elections, with complete direction, of course, by Edi Rama. They have forced them to put on a show in the last 48 hours, meaning that they have carried out an action ," said Këlliçi.
