"DP will appeal the CEC decision for Tirana, Këlliçi: We want

The political leader for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has revealed that the DP will appeal the CEC's decision for the capital and will request a review of the invalid votes.

Këlliçi said on A2CNN that there were over 17,000 invalid votes in Tirana, and their re-evaluation will result in the mandate of doctor Ilir Alimehmeti, who lost by 100 votes.

"In the diaspora, there were boxes with a result of 97% in favor of the Socialist Party. This happened with the votes of Greece. A calligraphy expert would have evidenced that it is a hand that has filled hundreds of votes. It is a pity that an opportunity that was given to Albanians abroad was spoiled by the state party. We thought that DHL would stand by all commitments. In Greece, DHL has subcontracted the distribution of envelopes to two local companies. We have made these violations public.

These are complaints that we are taking to our partners. The Socialist Party has lost votes in Tirana. It has about 18 thousand votes less. But due to the low turnout and new parties… We lost the last mandate by a handful of votes and we will not give up. We will make a request, there are 17 thousand invalid votes in Tirana. Enough to take his mandate and another. We suspect that there is manipulation in the invalid votes ,” said Këlliçi.
