Klevis Balliu, political leader of the Democratic Party in the Tirana Region and candidate in the May 11 local elections, held a meeting with the democrats of Branch 10 in the capital, where he thanked the supporters for their commitment and dedication during the campaign.

In his speech, Balliu reiterated his critical stance towards the May 11 electoral process, which he described as an "electoral farce", stating that these elections will not be recognized by the opposition.

"The government that came with Bulgarian trains and Jabafto-processes will never stand on its feet," Balliu said in his post on social networks, referring with irony to the way how, according to him, the legitimacy of the current majority has been built.
He called "resisters" all those who, despite the pressures and difficulties, voted and worked for the united opposition in the elections, describing their contribution as crucial for the future of the democrats and the confrontation with what he calls the "regime".

Balliu has been one of the most vocal voices of the DP during the campaign and continues to be a harsh critic of the Rama government and the electoral processes in the country.
