While in Përmet as part of the election campaign, Prime Minister Edi Rama had a telephone conversation with the SP candidate in the Kukes Region, Petrit Malaj.

In addition to the video conversation published on the profile of the head of government on Facebook, Rama describes Malaj as a "24 carat Tropojan", while asking him about the progress of the election campaign. The Prime Minister stressed that they want the third term to continue the work that has begun, and that the focus will be strong support for mountain tourism.

Conversation between Rama and Malaj:

Rama:  Petrit, how are you brother, how do I have you. What the heroic Tropoja says, with the Democratic Party.
Malaj:  In fact I am going through a good situation, a pretty good time and I have the impression that the Tropojans have fallen where they should, inside the asphalt, such as these people, good people, workers, loyal, good people, I am always proud me to.
Rama:  How is the campaign going?
Malaj: Well, I tried to meet them and talk to them face to face. I have violated many parts of the territory, I have met people with troubles and debts. I see that there is hope. I convey the idea that we have what to do and will do good things here.
Rama: They have seen what a change has happened there, since we started working and thanks to the cooperation we had with the mayor there, even though he belonged to the DP, but he was open.
Malaj : I feel good actually. Two factors make me feel good here, the fact that I am part of this community and that my ancestors have opened up a pretty acceptable ground for me.
Rama:  Brother, now you are a heavy stone in its place. You may be too modest to say it yourself, but you are simply and only a tropojan committed to your country, not to yourself. You are not looking for a job.
Malaj:  That is true. To be fair the investments are tangible and real here. The municipality has opened many work fronts here, even roads.
Rama: We need to strengthen two other messages there, the first of which are not only those of infrastructure, but also concrete examples of what is being done with the strengthening of agricultural enterprise there. We will continue to empower them. Second, this mandate will have a clearer and stronger focus on mountain tourism. The future will be really attractive, but it needs April 25th.
Malaj : It is a necessity, that this place is really a fairy tale.
Rama:  We had a discussion together, you set me a condition and I have nothing to do, to hold you hostage now. Tell them, make it clear that we need this support to continue working, not for us personally.
Malaj: You gave me a word that there is a possibility to go through here.
Rama: Definitely, where will I go without going to Tropoja, are you on your own?
Malaj: Ok, I would really like to pass, because I know how to wait here.
Rama:  We will definitely be in Tropoja.
