Bardhi officially addresses Nikola and informs the diplomatic corps: Illegal

After today's session, the Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group has addressed an official letter to the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, while he has informed several international officials.

Bardhi has compared the behavior of the majority with that of the dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong Un, while saying that the latter "would be envious of what is happening in the Assembly".

For months, the Assembly of Albania has not been functioning normally due to the protest of the opposition for the denial of its constitutional rights, for the establishment of Investigative Commissions and for the Electoral Reform.

" By denying the constitutional right to parliamentary control of the Government, not reviewing the draft laws of the opposition deputies, denying the right to receive answers from the executive bodies on matters of interest to the citizens, or denying the right to appoint the representatives of itself in the special parliamentary commissions, practically your majority is trying to create a one-party, anti-democratic, authoritarian Parliament that openly violates the rights of the parliamentary minority" - writes Bardhi.

Gazment Bardhi has brought to the attention of Speaker Nikolla that preventing opposition MPs from entering their offices in the Presidency of the Assembly, or the presence inside the plenary session hall of around 60 employees of the Guard of the Republic, is in violation of the Rules of the Assembly and has transformed the Parliament into the hall of the Republic Guard, intimidating the opposition MPs with security forces.

At the end of his letter, Bardhi writes that " the intimidation of opposition MPs by security forces is an action that North Korea and Kim Jong-un himself would envy. Albania, as a member of NATO and a candidate country for the European Union, should align itself with the standards of the EU countries and not with the standards of the dictator of North Korea! In any case, allow me on behalf of the opposition MPs to assure you and your spiritual leader Edi Rama, that you will remain eternally and tentatively only an ugly and miniature copy of Kim Jong.
