Bardhi: For Rama and Balluku, the farmer's hardship doesn't matter, the DP will support them

The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, said that the DP will provide strong support to farmers.

In a Facebook post, Bardhi writes that Balluku will not know about their sacrifice.

Bardhi stated that agricultural and livestock production has suffered a dramatic decline, while products have remained in stock, while emphasizing that there has been a 62% decrease in livestock.

For Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku, the farmers' hard work, sacrifices, and hardships are of no importance. They only see the outward appearance of Albanian products, while the farmers have left them alone and without any support. Agricultural and livestock production has dramatically declined, and products remain in stock and unsold. The number of livestock has decreased by 62 percent compared to 2013.

To end this situation and to support farmers every day, the DP government after May 11 will:

Subsidize farmers for each production unit, head of livestock and seedlings purchased and increase for this purpose the direct subsidy fund for farmers from 0.5 percent of budget expenditures to 3.5 percent, which is the average level for the region.

The ID card will be the farmer's NIPT, direct support, a subsidy for entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture, where each farmer will be identified with a NIPT.

VAT in the agricultural processing sector will be the same for sales and purchases, so the money will go directly to the farmer and not to the wholesaler.

Oil will be subsidized up to cost level.

Subsidizing interest rates up to 80 percent for bank loans in the field of agriculture.

The development of agricultural infrastructure will be supported by substantial investments, especially in irrigation and drainage, where an amount of around 70 million dollars will be invested annually with the aim of doubling the irrigated area in four years.

Financial compensation at a floor price for production stock caused by severe market disruptions and incentives for the establishment of the agri-food industry to absorb this stock and avoid the destruction of these products.
