The President of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, revealed in an online conversation with the citizens the economic objectives of the opposition when it comes to power

"The fundamental problem today, in addition to the restoration of political trials, political imprisonments, is the economic problem.

Today, if we take some indicators, if we take economic growth and citizens' accounts or portfolios, in a development that is among the most dramatic, but not only typical of dictatorships, it is found that economic growth doubled, but poverty tripled .

And both types of poverty, such as extreme poverty or misery, which was 1.04 percent in 2013 and today is 3.4 percent, so it is more than 3 times more, as well as relative poverty, which from 13 percent has reached 46 percent .

To make it clearer for the citizen, we are taking pensioners. In 2013, the pensioner received a pension of 140,000 ALL. Today, without any increase but only claiming for indexation, this pension is 180 thousand ALL. But today with 180 thousand ALL, this pensioner buys 50 percent less than what he used to buy with 140 thousand ALL. Today, bread is twice as expensive as in 2013. Today, milk, butter, cheese, tomatoes, greens are twice as expensive as in 2013.

And, where is the drama, basic things are from 10 to 250 percent more expensive than in Italy, Greece, Germany, in countries that have a minimum wage 4 to 8 times higher than the Albanians.

The Albanian pensioner, why am I coming back, the most painful, because the attitude towards them constitutes a deeply inhumane attitude.

What has he done with the high salaries? Today they are the highest salaries in the region. The salaries of the Scapists are higher than the salaries of the cardinals in the Vatican, than of the ministers, which is a rich state. Because they need them to use them as prey against the opposition.

So this one was not indifferent, but used all this to punish the majority and reward the minority.
