MP: SMI will participate in the March 6 elections, we have reflected
Local by-elections will be held on March 6 and the SMI has decided to take part in them. This was stated by the deputy Erisa Xhixho, emphasizing that the opposition has reflected after the boycott it made in the elections of June 30, 2019.
She said the parties should represent the citizens who believe in them, calling the decision to run on March 6th as the right one. Xhixho told "Ora news" that the elections are an important moment, without giving more details about how the SMI will compete.
"We will be part of the process, for the SMI, election standards have always been important. Standards for free and fair elections. Unfortunately, culture, history has told us the last general election of April 25th.
I think there was a reflection of that decision. The political class I think can not avoid any kind of choice. Elections are there to represent citizens to believe. I think it is a proper reflection. "Elections are a very important moment and should be seen as a moment to offer citizens the most representative people in human and intellectual values," said the MP.
