Terrorist attacks/ Bardhi: Rama and all institutions must fully support Kosovo

The head of the PD Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the tense situation in Kosovo.

Bardhi says to the media that a free and independent Kosovo is an irreversible reality.

"Serbia must accept this reality and must give up any criminal provocation in the north of Kosovo, by sitting at the dialogue table without conditions, with the mediation of the US-EU", says Bardhi.

STATEMENT OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PARLIAMENTARY GROUP OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, GAZMENT BARDHI

The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has been following the situation in the north of Kosovo with great concern throughout the day. The continuous terrorist attacks against the security forces of Kosovo, which culminated today with the killing of a Kosovo Police officer in the line of duty, make it necessary to put an end to the game of co-responsibility of the aggressors and the victims. Co-responsibility between the aggressor and the victim encourages terrorists to prepare and carry out such criminal attacks on the territory of Kosovo. The responsibility for the situation lies only with the aggressor and those who constantly provoke a sovereign state with unacceptable acts.

Free and independent Kosovo is an irreversible reality. Serbia must accept this reality and must renounce any criminal provocation in the north of Kosovo, sitting at the dialogue table without conditions, with the mediation of the US-EU.

Expressing our sincere condolences to the family of the hero Afrim Bunjaku, we take the opportunity to strongly condemn the attack and express our full support for the Police and state institutions of Kosovo, for preserving their territorial integrity and the functioning of the rule of law in every part of the territory of Kosovo. We support all legal actions to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice and punish them according to the laws in force.

Also, we find the opportunity to ask the institutions of the Albanian state, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, to give up their statements, behavior and neutral role on the situation in the north of Kosovo. The Prime Minister of Albania and all the responsible institutions of the Albanian state must fulfill their constitutional obligations, being fully only in support of the institutions of Kosovo and the people of Kosovo, in full coordination with the strategic partners of Kosovo and Albania.
