"Information campaign in the EP for Berisha", Gjekmarkaj: They want to lead the opposition to elections with an arrested leader
The vice president of the Democratic Party Agron Gjekmarkaj declares that the European Union has been misinformed about the Berisha case.
Invited to MCN, Gjekmarkaj stressed that the DP Parliamentary Group will undertake a lobbying campaign in the European Parliament, as they need to be informed about what happens to the leadership of the opposition with this year's big electoral deadlock where the opposition is all banned, for a possible electoral rigging in favor of power by interfering with justice late and wrongly.
Gjekmarkaj : I, as a citizen of this country but also as a member of the opposition, live every day with a major concern, the one that has to do with the legality of the ban on the opposition, the legality of the ban on the leader of the opposition Sali Berisha. European institutions that are often misinformed by the one who goes first, by anti-opposition rhetoric or by a rhetoric that tries to abuse the term justice and in this context I think that the opposition of Albania, its parliamentary group should make this effort next to EU and CIS.
We must inform them what happens to the leadership of the opposition with the great electoral stalemate this year where the opposition is all banned, for a possible election rigging in favor of the government with justice interfering late and wrongly .
We must use every space, we will enter every door that will open for issues of democracy and rights in Albania and we will try to be influential near every head that makes decisions about democratic standards in Europe.
