Paloka ironizes: DP buys votes with 500 euros, while Rama has been in power for
The chairman of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Edi Paloka, has reacted with irony to the hints in the media that the Democratic Party is buying votes for 500 euros, within the framework of the May 11 parliamentary elections.

Through a post on social networks, Paloka has called these claims absurd, emphasizing that the DP has been in opposition for 12 years, while the government of Edi Rama and his cabinet are in power.

"The thefts of hundreds of millions over the past 12 years are done by the government, ministers, deputies, mayors and senior officials, in cooperation with Rama's oligarchs. But according to them, the votes with 500 euros were bought by the DP," Paloka writes ironically.
He also raises questions about how vote-buying issues are being addressed, emphasizing the legal responsibility of citizens who sell votes.

"Yes, well, we 'caught' the one who wanted to buy the vote. What about the one he sold? Because the law also punishes the vote seller. Or that's the way it is..." he concludes, alluding to a selective approach of law enforcement institutions.
