Kryemadhi: The trauma doctor was arrested as a drug cartel, while the government leads corruption
Fitim Marku is the Trauma Hospital doctor who was arrested yesterday by the police after he was caught taking bribes from patients.
Freedom Party MP Monika Kryemadhi writes on Facebook that the doctor was arrested as a drug cartel, while the government runs a corruption cartel from tax payers' offices. Focusing on the Rama government's promise of free healthcare, Kryemadhi writes that today Albanians pay more as corruption has increased.
Kryemadhi writes that Albanians need higher wages and well-paid jobs to stop mass emigration.
"Yesterday, the government arrested a doctor for corruption, while continuing to supply Albanians' money to massive corruption with incinerators. The doctor was arrested as a drug cartel, and the government runs a corruption cartel from the taxpayers' offices. The absurdity of Rama's free healthcare is that today Albanians are spending more to take care of their health and corruption has increased.
Corruption in healthcare must be ended, but this requires treatment with a decent salary. We must increase the salaries of doctors, teachers, administration, so that they do not need to look after the citizens. All Albanians need higher wages, so the country urgently needs to create more well-paid jobs, which would also stop mass emigration. Arrested should be the governors of the incinerators, not doctors, teachers and professionals", writes Kryemadhi.
