Xhaçka's mandate, Nesho: Why the majority tried to buy time with Venice
Former ambassador Agim Nesho commented on the mandate of socialist MP Olta Xhaçka, while today the Venice Commission gave its opinion on this issue.
Invited to News 24, Nesho said that if we want to be part of the EU, then the implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court cannot be questioned.
Nesho said that the majority's move to address Venice was simply to gain time on an issue that was already widely discussed in the media. "In the gathering of all the figures within the SP who had been dismissed for corruption, the majority was not interested in having another prominent figure, at a time when the debate regarding properties in the south was very heated. So we have gained time from the majority ," said Nesho.
He adds that this majority, since it operates with the idea that it controls all power, has thought that even disrespecting the Constitutional Court's decision does not constitute a problem.
