Threatening messages in Signal, SPAK for the denunciation of Bardhi: We have

SPAK has reacted after the letter of the head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, Gazmend Bardhi, about the messages received at his address in the Signal application, where the names of some crime figures were mentioned.

In an official announcement, the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime writes that it has been made aware of several messages that have reached politicians and public figures over the last few days through the encrypted communication application, Signal.

From the Special Prosecution's verifications so far, the messages purported to be derived from the transcripts of conversations carried out through SKY/ECC have been manipulated by fabricating false conversations about individuals and illegal actions.

The Special Prosecutor's Office is closely monitoring this situation and has started verifications to identify the sources of these messages in order to prosecute the perpetrators.

"We call on all citizens and public actors to be careful when interacting with messages of this nature, as well as to avoid the distribution of unverified materials", states SPAK.

Bardhi has discovered the SMS that came to his communication platform in "Signal" where the name of Ervis Martinaj is mentioned and asked SPAK to investigate.

Bardhi, in the letter sent to the Special Prosecutor's Office, indicates that the message came from an unidentified number, with the username "Mbreti Zog".

"Ervis Martinaj, Erigers Mihasi, be well", is written in the SMS sent to the head of the DP Group, a message he attached to the letter sent to SPAK.
