"In search of symbols", Berisha: Azem Hajdari, a true symbol of Albanian freedom

Leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha has stated that in the national history of our country, there is no individual who has done more for the freedom of his citizens than Azem Hajdari.

Speaking at the event titled "In Search of Symbols: Azem Hajdari as a Symbol of Freedom", Berisha said that if you forget the past, the future is never certain and this has been proven hundreds of times in history.

Good afternoon!

A warm greeting to you here, leaders here, members of the panel, my friends and all those present.

But also a very special recognition to the 'Brain Gain' Department, which has wisely chosen the most fundamental conservative principle of symbols and traditions, traditions and symbols.

In fact, that's what we're for. And I highly appreciated their selection, I highly appreciated the trips they made around Albania on this topic, as an essential contribution.

If you forget the past, the future is never certain, and this has been proven hundreds of times in history.

The past is needed for a purpose, to project the future. And these young men and women, in this harsh, let's call it harsh time for the DP, they chose that the legacy and symbols not only of the DP, not be forgotten, but be honored, remembered, as a source of inspiration for Albanians.

These have addressed other issues that I have greatly appreciated, a series of initiatives, such as the 'Donate a Book' initiative, have championed the book at a very difficult time for the book and at a time when the book is being unfairly marginalized by various applications, which never replace it.

But these people have stood on the right side, dealing with the book and a series of other topics.

They have chosen today to unite us here, a true symbol of Albanian freedom, Azem Hajdari.

I can tell these gentlemen who have not known him, but in our national history there is no individual who has done more for the freedom of Albanians than Azem Hajdari as a person.
