Democratic deputy Jorida Tabaku has filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court regarding the law on the tax on free professions.

For the media, Tabaku stated that the law affects a middle class which is leaving and being overtaxed. Tabaku said that the PD group is concerned about the public good and the damage that is being caused to a part of the population.

The deputy hoped that the Constitutional Court would not disappoint those who trust the law.

"It is very important in terms of tax. Meanwhile, from an economic point of view, it is an issue that the PD Parliamentary Group has kept as a concern throughout the last year, as it affects at least 30 thousand individuals in free professions, for an income of 30 million euros in the state budget. It is a middle class that is leaving and is overtaxed. 95% of the population is taxed so that the funds go to 5% of the population.

The DP Parliamentary Group and the individuals of the Economy Committee are concerned about the public good, are interested and concerned about the damage it is causing to this certain layer of the population, and are concerned that today the state budget has turned into a list of favors .

I hope that the Constitutional Court rises to the level it deserves and does not set precedents that are dangerous for its credibility and gives a decision in the public good that in this case goes with the middle class. I call on anyone to join this lawsuit as a party, anyone who is interested, be it the People's Advocate or even other representatives who join the DP Parliamentary Group. I hope that the Constitutional Court will not disappoint those who believe in the law and institutions" , stated Tabaku.
