Berisha: Civil disobedience will escalate, the time of the narco-state is over
"Your pensions should have increased 2.5 times!", Berisha appeals to the elderly: Join us in our battle
The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech this evening, called on pensioners to join the opposition's battle against a narco-government, which only has a plan to enrich itself. The Chief Democrat further stated that pensions should have increased at least 2.5 times more.
"What is left for the pensioners when Erion Veliaj steals 100 percent of the taxes of the citizens of the municipality with his directors? What is left for the pensioners when Lubi Balluku for 1 km of road spends 10-12 times more than in Croatia? What is left for the pensioners, you say to me? That's why I'm calling on Albanian pensioners today, you never deserve such treatment. I'm not saying that a government can reward you as you deserve, but I say that a government has a legal obligation moral to reward you at least, the minimum, 2.5 times more than today.
And I guarantee it, guarantee it is my word. You tried it, I'm not saying you got what you deserved, but you saw that your income, pensions doubled. Duplication is rare now. It should be grown two and a half times that you can go out to coffee in peace, not count the morsel, get the medicine you need at the pharmacy. So join us, stand up with us, join us in this battle for yourself, for your nieces and nephews, for the love you have for this country, for the energy you have poured into Albania. No one knows better than you what race, what kind of citizens are thieves who enrich themselves with your assets," said Berisha.
