At today's meeting, the government approved a decision granting the CEC an additional fund of 20 million ALL, which will be used to cover the preparatory expenses related to the 2025 parliamentary elections.
The financial effect of this decision is borne by the reserve fund of the state budget, approved for 2024.
The decision states that the Central Election Commission, in the approved budget for 2024, in the "Planning, management, administration" program, a fund of 20,900,000 (twenty million nine hundred thousand) lek is added to the item "Current expenses", for covering the preparatory expenses, which precede the elections for the Assembly, in 2025.
