Free professionals, Tabaku reply to the Minister of Finance: The government must

The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, had a reply with the Minister of Finance for Free Professions.

During today's parliamentary session, Tabaku again raised the issue of freelancers, who have paid a tax that has already been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court.

The deputy said that the amount disputed by the minister was sourced from the Directorate of Taxes, about 10 million euros were collected from 10 thousand free professionals, while the Minister of Finance reported a figure of 5 million euros.

"That decision of the Constitutional Court that declared this tax unconstitutional is still in force. Today, yesterday and tomorrow, it remains the same, the tax was and is unconstitutional. Regardless of whether the freelancers paid it or not, this money should be returned to them, "Tabaku declared during her speech.

Tabak's reply to the Minister of Finance:

Mr. Minister, the Directorate of Taxes that you lead says that 10 million euros have been collected from 10 thousand free professionals, while you say 5 million euros. Although in this parliament I have spoken with figures and facts, even if 1 lek received by freelancers, what does it mean? It is changing the budget and adding 15 million euros to three companies because their prices have increased. What about these? If a taxpayer is in debt to the state, what happens? The state starts with late interest, pays the fine, and what does the Constitutional Court remember? Does an office under the Ministry of Finance interpret the decision for you? The Constitutional Court has made a decision that the self-employed tax is unconstitutional. It is today, it was yesterday, and it will be tomorrow! It doesn't matter when you paid it. In essence, it is unconstitutional and should be returned to those to whom it belongs.
