November 26 protest, Vokshi: The police were ordered to violate
The DP deputy, Albana Vokshi, has accused the police of violence and provocations during the last opposition protest on November 26.
Invited to News24, Vokshi stated that the police were equipped with heavy weapons, water cannons and tear gas to suppress the opposition protest.
"They had received orders to provoke and abuse the protesters," Vokshi said, calling it an attempt to obstruct a constitutional right such as protest.
She added that the participants were aware of the danger they could face. “Civil disobedience is not easy; whoever joins them knows that they may face violence or threats, but this does not stop us," the deputy emphasized, assuring that the opposition will continue its action to protect the rights of citizens.
"The police had received orders to provoke and abuse the protesters. They had come with heavy weapons, water cannons, and tear gas. There is nothing in the world that prevents us from respecting a constitutional right such as protest. It is not easy to go out in civil disobedience. Whoever joins this kind of protest knows that they can be violated or threatened", said Vokshi.
