 The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech at the marathon protest held on the 'Rugë e Shpresa', called on the authorities to release some protesters arrested during a recent protest in Tirana.

Berisha thanked the protesters for their participation and resistance to the government and emphasized that they were the forerunners of a civil disobedience that would lead to the formation of a technical government and free elections. Berisha mentioned four arrested protesters and assured them that the Democratic Party and the opposition are by their side until their full release, criticizing Prime Minister Edi Rama for the use of police violence.
