Sanctioning/ The British court rejects Berisha's appeal

The Special Immigration Appeals Commission ( SIAC ) has rejected the appeal requested by the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, regarding the declaration of 'non-grata' by Great Britain.

Berisha appealed the decision to the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) in London in March, arguing that he was detained by the UK based on unproven false claims.

SIAC has rejected the appeal, leaving in effect the sanctioning of the opposition leader.

Berisha was sanctioned by the United Kingdom in 2022. So far, Britain has not argued on the reasons and causes that prove his 'non-grata' declaration.
