The deputy of the DP, Jorida Tabaku, together with the deputy Koliqi and the legal advisor Logu, addressed the Constitutional Court today, as the date on the calendar was the presentation of other arguments in relation to the lawsuit filed by the parliamentary group of the DP and also by interest groups to challenge the imposition of the self-employed tax which they consider unconstitutional.

In the statement to the media held after leaving the Constitutional Court, Tabaku said that other documents were delivered to the doors of the court that prove that we have closed businesses that were hit by the imposition of this unfair tax and at the same time that prove the vulnerability of legal security.

"Today we are in the conditions of violation of legal security, today we are in the conditions of violation of the Constitution and today we are in the conditions of a tax that goes 30-40% for free professions, the highest tax in the Republic of Albania" said the deputy Tabaku, meanwhile, emphasized that all actions are now carried out in full coordination with the stakeholders who have filed their lawsuits" , said Tabaku.

The Constitutional Court accepted the lawsuit of the DP Parliamentary Group, which was the first to file one in the Court, while inviting freelancers to join.

Tabaku held a meeting with the independent professionals in the premises of the Parliament of Albania, while the Court set the date of May 21 and further June to hold a public session regarding the demands of the DP parliamentary group and the Free Professionals.

"I want to give a message to all the independent professionals who wrote to us and contacted us, I want to say that the PD parliamentary group will be here to protect their interest, to protect the interest of the citizens, today they are not a minority but they are majority. it is true that today the Government works only for the minority, but we will protect the interest of the majority" , said Tabaku.
