Vice President of the Freedom Party, Erisa Xhixho, said that Edi Rama's government is ending its third term with many unfulfilled promises and a ruined education system.

DECLARATION:

Dear citizens, Edi Rama's government is ending its third term with many unfulfilled promises and a ruined education system. Let me dwell on some of them:

Budget – In 2013, when he took power, Edi Rama promised to budget education at 5% of GDP. This is the biggest deception that could be done to parents, teachers, educators and Albanian youth. Twelve years later, the budget is at 2.4%, the lowest in the region. We rank last after Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

Vocational education – In 2017, the government promised vocational schools in every municipality. Fraud! Of the 61 municipalities in the country, only 19 of them have vocational schools today.

Community Center School – In 2015, Edi Rama presented the “Community Center School” project. Another scam. They never managed to make the school-family-community triangle work, and the serious cases that have occurred in the country's schools in recent years prove that this project has failed.

Tirana University Campus – In 2019, Edi Rama promised to complete the university campus within Lali's second term. Another deception. We continue to be the only country still without a university campus.

Shift teaching – Since 2017, it has been promised that shift teaching will end. Fraud! Even today, after 8 years, Tirana's schools are overloaded and teaching is conducted in shifts.

Education has collapsed because the government has never made it a priority. Hundreds of closed schools and thousands of young people who have emigrated in search of hope are the clearest evidence of this collapse.

Our program for promoting education, integrated into the governing program of the Alliance for a Greater Albania, will provide a solution to this situation.

Today we are a step forward. Because we have the solution, but we also have the trust of the Albanians. We will rebuild education in Albania:

By doubling the education budget to 5%, the European average, by doubling teachers' salaries, to 1500 euros. By funding innovation above the European Union average.

By giving a 250 euro voucher to every child in neighborhoods where there is no school until the government opens a new school there. Citizens pay taxes and the service must be received or compensated in order to use it in private education.

Teaching and science will be considered priority branches and will be financially supported.

Priority investments in information technology branches.

Vocational Education will be subordinate to the Ministry of Education.

Curricula will undergo a profound reform by independent experts, far from any political influence, to form young people with critical thinking.

We will implement the catering system in kindergartens and schools, according to the European model.

Strong support for vocational education and excellence in start-up businesses.

To restore the dignity of teachers and motivate young people to pursue teaching careers, urgent action must be taken today!

The vote on May 11 is a vote to punish those who did not keep their promises and support our program to rebuild education, reduce taxes, increase welfare, and transform Albania into a manufacturing country and exporting power.
