The Democratic Party has reacted to the arrest of 38-year-old Marin Leka in Lushnja, who allegedly took the ID card of citizen Muharrem Toska, and promised him lek in exchange for voting for the Democrats on May 11.

The DP considers it a shameful fabrication by the State Security, while distancing itself from any electoral crime and calling on SPAK to investigate the case and hold accountable anyone who violated the law.

In the case in question, the DP considers the State Police to be a gang in the service of Belinda Balluku, as according to them, they have made this stupid and ridiculous fabrication on behalf of the SP political leader in the Fier District.

REACTION OF THE DP HEADQUARTERS, FIER DISTRICT

Shameful fabrications like those of the State Security neither influence us nor distract us from our mission to do the best for Albania. We distance ourselves from any electoral crime and are at the forefront of the battle against violations of the law in elections.

The manipulation of public opinion carried out by the State Police, a gang in the service of Belinda Balluku, must receive a response from the Special Prosecution Office. SPAK must immediately investigate the case and hold accountable anyone who violated the law.

We have full confidence in SPAK to solve this case, where the State Police is being misused for stale propaganda against the DP.

The stupid, ridiculous and shameful fabrication of the State Police was made on behalf of the Socialist Party and Belinda Balluku to make noise about the electoral crime of forcing the administration to participate in the Socialist Party's rallies.

 35 summonses were sent to the Socialist Party structures for electoral crimes yesterday alone for this electoral crime. We encourage the Special Prosecution Office to continue its work to crack down on every electoral crime in the Fier region.
