Today, the Assembly will return, after a break of several weeks from parliamentary activity due to the electoral campaign and the May 11 elections.

The plenary session is scheduled to begin at 12:00, while two hours before the session, at 10:00, the Speaker of the Assembly Elisa Spiropali has called the Conference of Speakers, where the calendar of the Assembly's work for the period May 29–July 8, 2025 will be discussed.

According to the official calendar, during the remaining period of this legislature, annual reports of all public institutions, including those of justice, will be made.

Also on the agenda is the review of the draft calendar of the Assembly's work for the period May 29 - June 18, 2025, as well as the Monitoring Report for the period January 1 - March 31, 2025, on the progress of the implementation of the Assembly's Action Plan for the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission's report for 2024.

The current parliament closes its work at the end of the third week of July, while the new parliament will be constituted in September, where the current lawmakers will have to "make way" for the new deputies elected in the May 11 elections.

Regarding today's session, the leader of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has addressed a message to his Democratic colleagues, asking them to participate and do everything to present the facts of what he describes as an "electoral farce."

"Dear colleagues, tomorrow at 12:00 is the plenary session of the Parliament, in which we will participate and do everything to present the full facts about the electoral farce of May 11. I greet you!" - writes Bardhi.

Likewise, the leader of the SP parliamentary group, Niko Peleshi, has sent a message to his socialist colleagues, requesting their mandatory participation, while also informing them of a group meeting before the parliamentary session in the Assembly.

"Hello, colleagues! As you have been informed, tomorrow, Thursday, May 29, at 12:00, the next plenary session will take place. Previously, at 11:30, we will hold a meeting of the Parliamentary Group, right there, in the Plenary Sessions Hall. We will discuss the progress of parliamentary activity in committees and sessions over the coming weeks. Participation is essential. Thank you" - reads Niko Peleshi's message.

Today's parliamentary session is expected to mark the return of political debate in the Assembly, after an election campaign accompanied by accusations of irregularities and manipulation.
