"Dozens of children are dying," Palestinian ambassador breaks down in

The Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, Riyad Mansour, broke down in tears as he addressed the General Assembly today regarding the war in Gaza.

He burst into tears as he spoke about the children suffering from hunger.

“Dozens of children are dying of hunger. The images of mothers hugging their still bodies, stroking their hair, talking to them, apologizing. It’s unbearable. How can anyone do this? Excuse me, Mr. President. I have grandchildren. I know what they mean to their families, and to see this situation on the Palestinians without having the heart to do something is beyond the capacity of any normal human being to tolerate,” he said.

Mansour cited the case of Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, a Palestinian doctor who lost nine of her 10 children after they arrived at the hospital where she worked, already dead and burned.
