Starting today, citizens of Kosovo and North Macedonia will be subject to a joint border control at the Glloboçicë-Jazhincë crossing point.

This is the inauguration of the second border crossing point according to the entry-entry model after the one inaugurated at the crossing point between Hani i Elezit and Bllaca.

The Kosovo Embassy in Skopje said that these projects are also in function of strengthening bilateral cooperation in addition to facilitating movement.

"Today, the second border crossing according to the "entry-entry" model between and the one at the Glloboqicë/Jazhincë crossing - was inaugurated.

"This inauguration follows the facilitation and success of the new regime in Hani i Elezit/Bllacë. These projects, in addition to significantly facilitating the movement of citizens, are in the function of strengthening bilateral cooperation," the embassy wrote.

Present at the inauguration were the acting Minister of Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, the First Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Izet Mexhiti, and the Minister of Interior, Pance Toshkovski.
