The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that the message from the United States embassy was a message for Albanian citizens, not for Edi Rama.

"The latter (the US message) greeted the people. If you read the 2021 message with the latter, it speaks for itself.

"European partners cannot accept this farce after getting to know it in detail and with concrete documents with evidence. Edi Rama is capable of doing as much as his father was of arranging the hanging of a poet, Edi Rama is capable of doing for the sake of his power. And this because Edi Rama knows that he has committed crimes in Albania,"  Berisha said in the studio of the show "Ora e Betit" on "Ora News".
