US President Donald Trump has said he "can't tell you" whether Vladimir Putin wants to end the war - but will find out in about two weeks.
He added his words for Russia to "speak up" and that it will respond "differently" if it discovers that Putin is "eavesdropping" on the US, Skynews writes .
"We're going to find out whether he's eavesdropping on us or not, and if he is, we're going to respond a little differently," Trump told reporters at the White House.
He is also "disappointed" by what happened in Ukraine, echoing his recent criticism following Russia's widespread attacks over the weekend.
Asked why he has not imposed sanctions on Russia, he said he does not want to "destroy" the chances of a peace deal - adding that he would sit down with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Putin, if necessary.
