An unusual event occurred on Wednesday evening in the outdoor areas of the Fushë Krujë Prison, where a quantity of explosive material exploded near the security perimeter. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the explosion did not cause any material damage. 

The investigation is focused on two main leads. According to sources, one lead is related to the possibility that the explosion served as a threatening message to the prison authorities. While the second lead, which is being treated seriously by investigators, is related to a possible escape attempt, where the explosion may have been used as a distraction.

In light of this hypothesis, on Thursday morning, four control groups landed at the prison and are conducting detailed checks in the cells where convicted and detained prisoners are held, including well-known names in the criminal world.

The Fushë Krujë prison is categorized as a high-security institution, currently housing around 350 convicted and pre-trial detainees. Due to the high profile of some of the prisoners, the incident has raised serious concerns about security and control in and around the prison.

Authorities are on heightened alert, while investigations continue to uncover the perpetrators and exact motive for this shocking act.
