Video/Campaign spots: SP attacks the opposition, DP focuses on immigration

The Democratic Party and the Socialist Party have released campaign spots for the May 11 local elections, clearly revealing their strategies to win the support of citizens in one of the hottest electoral races in recent years.

In its spot, the Democratic Party emphasizes one of the biggest wounds of Albanian society: the massive emigration of young people and entire families, which according to it is a direct result of Edi Rama's mismanagement and successive failures in the economy, education and hope for the future. With an emotional and critical tone, the DP addresses citizens to say "enough" and to restore hope in the country through the vote.

On the other hand, the Socialist Party, although it has been in government for three terms, has chosen to focus its ad on direct attacks on the Democratic Party, emphasizing the opposition's internal chaos and its inability to build alternatives. Although it bears the responsibility of governing itself, the SP aims to shift attention towards the opposition's crisis, trying to maintain electoral support through promises of continuity and stability.
