The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has conveyed a message as part of the electoral campaign, focusing on Pope Francis' messages for young people and the future of the country.

Quoting the Pope that "eagles do not forget their nest, but fly high", Meta stressed the importance of keeping young people in the homeland and the need to avoid what he called "demographic winter".

 "Let us not forget the wise messages of the great Pope Francis: "Eagles do not forget their nest, but fly high. I have seen so many young people, so please keep them in their homeland and may Albania be saved from the "demographic winter."

"Where there is youth, there is hope," says Pope Francis.

This great legacy of his deserves every sacrifice.

Therefore, I will never tire of working to restore hope to the youth, because only in this way will our beloved Albania be safe and prosperous for hundreds of years to come.
