A shocking incident has occurred at a high school in France, where a 15-year-old man carried out a knife attack, killing one student and injuring three others. The incident occurred at the Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides school in the city of Nantes, western France, around noon on Thursday, local time.

According to reports from international media and local sources, the perpetrator is a student at the school. He entered the building armed with a knife and went to the second floor, where he first shot one of his peers. He then moved to other parts of the school and shot three other teenagers.

Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition in hospital. French authorities have said there is no evidence to suggest a terrorist motive at this stage of the investigation.

The attacker was neutralized by school teachers, who bravely intervened to prevent the tragedy from escalating. He is currently in police custody and is expected to be questioned to clarify the circumstances and motives of the incident.
