Librazhd police received a report that a person had fired a shotgun into the air in the village of Gizavesht. After receiving the report, police services went to the scene to prevent a possible criminal incident.

Librazhd police have made it possible to arrest the perpetrator, Saimir Xhani, 42 years old.

Sources indicate that the incident began due to a conflict over property rights with his neighbor, a citizen with the initials H. Xh., 80 years old, in the village of Gizavesht. The 42-year-old fired a shotgun into the air to threaten him.

"Immediately after the announcement that in the village of Gizavesht, a citizen had fired a shotgun into the air, the services of the Librazhd Police Commissariat went to the scene, with the aim of preventing a possible criminal event and arresting the perpetrator.

As a result of rapid operational actions, citizen Saimir Xhani, 42 years old, was caught red-handed and placed in handcuffs.

This citizen is suspected of having fired a shotgun into the air to threaten his neighbor, citizen H. Xh., 80 years old, in the village of Gizavesht, during a conflict over property rights.

No citizens were injured in the shooting.

"The hunting weapon and a quantity of combat ammunition, which were possessed without a permit , were seized as material evidence," the police announced.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan, for further action.
