"Head of PD, Sali Berisha...", Basha complains about the media again (CEC's old answer)

After a long 'break', Lulzim Basha has returned with a great "appetite" to gain the authority he has lost for a long time.

Like his group, he has complained again about the media that recognize Sali Berisha as the leader of the Democratic Party.

Through a post on Facebook, Basha's group writes that " The use and misuse of the name of the DP, the president and its institutions by other groups or individuals with the aim of creating confusion and disorienting the democrats, the electorate opposition and citizens, as well as the reflection of this false information by audiovisual and electronic media, seriously damage the image of the Democratic Party and damage its interests. The Democratic Party is a national asset, so the misuse of its name damages the entire Albanian society".

Given that it is impossible to face the authority and weight that Berisha has among the people, Basha has found a branch where the "attack on the media" can be caught.

However, we remember that the AMA has no legal basis and no authority to monitor how people are labeled in the studio or in the news.

18 PRILL 2023/ Alibeaj i qahet AMA-s: Gazetarët njohin Berishën kryetar të PD, jo mua

Kryetari i komanduar i grupimit të Bashës, Enkelejd Alibeaj përmes një shkrese zyrtare, i është ankuar KQZ-së dhe AMA-së me argumentin se Sali Berisha po përdor logon e Partisë Demokratike në zgjedhjet e 14 Majit dhe i kërkon të ndërhyjë në mediat që e cilësojnë atë kryetar të Partisë Demokratike.

“Konstatojmë se disa media audiovizive me frekuencë kombëtare në raportimet e tyre lidhur me zhvillimet në PD i referohen deputetit të Kuvendit të Shqipërisë z. Sali Berisha si ‘Kryetar i Partisë Demokratike’ ‘Partia Demokratike Grupi i Rithemelimit’ , ‘Fraksioni i Rithemelimit në PD’.

Në shkelje të ligjit nr. 97/2013 ‘Për mediat audiovizive’ disa media vazhdojnë t’i referohen z. Berisha si kryetar të PD dhe të përdorin në emisione informuese qëndrime që nuk përkojnë me realitetin ligjor dhe zgjedhor. Kjo sjellje përbën keqinformim dhe konfuzion të qytetarëve si i përket lidershipit zyrtar të PD”, thuhet në kërkesë. Në këto kushte kërkoj nën cilësinë e kreut të komanduar të PD fillimin e një hetimi administrativ dhe marrjen e masave për garantimin e informimit objektiv dhe të vërtetë të qytetarëve”, thuhet ndër të tjera në kërkesën e Alibeajt. 

Por normalisht bazuar në ligjin e vendit tonë, kjo ‘dëshirë”e Alibeajt u rrëzua nga kryekomisioneri Celibashi.

06 MAJ 2023/ Celibashi rrëzon Alibeajn

The Central Election Commission rejected the request of Enkelejd Aliabejat, who requested that the CEC and the Audiovisual Media Authority stop the media from recognizing Sali Berisha as the chairman of the Democratic Party.

At the meeting, Celibashi declared that AMA and CEC have no right to interfere in the editorial policy of the media.

Thus, the same situation is being repeated, this time to get attention, since the authority and weight of Basha's group together with him, has long faded.
