An investigation launched into the abuse of hospital drugs revealed a scheme created by doctors, officials and specialists of the Oncology hospital at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, to transfer tumor patients to private clinics for profit purposes.

The investigation carried out by the prosecutor's office showed that patients diagnosed with tumors were not given proper medical treatment and were then directed to private clinics. Likewise, there have been cases of the purchase of drugs of considerable value for chemotherapy, from pharmacies which sold these drugs without the fiscal stamp and with a broken code, creating doubts about the authenticity of these drugs.

This scandal has caused great dissatisfaction in the public, inciting a protest.

The protest is planned to be held on Wednesday at 19.00, in front of the Ministry of Health.
