The 28-year-old Australian missing in the Albanian Alps, the family appeals for

A 28-year-old Australian, Cameron Twiss, has been missing without a trace since the morning of October 13, when he left Valbona to arrive in Theth. Cameron, who was in Albania on holiday, never reached his destination. His brother, Stuart Twiss, arrived in Albania to ask for help and spoke to the Albanian media about the circumstances of the disappearance.

"My brother was very satisfied with his holidays in Albania. He had visited Shkodra and Montenegro before leaving for Valbona and then for Theth. Cameron often liked to explore on his own, but it seems he didn't have enough information about the trail," Stuart told Top Channel.

According to Stuart, Cameron was separated from his group at the Jezerce-Theth junction, and since then, there has been no sign of him. He asked for the help of all Albanians and the authorities to gather any information that could lead to finding Cameron.

Bledar Jubani, a resident of the area, is the last person to have seen Cameron, at the dividing point of the paths to Jezerce and Theth. Local residents and guides point out that the Alps are unpredictable and dangerous, especially for those traveling unaccompanied or without knowledge of the terrain.

This is not the first time that tourists get lost in the Albanian Alps. During this season, two other tourists, a Belgian and a Lithuanian, have disappeared without a trace in the same area, raising concerns about safety on these mountain trails.

Albanian authorities and research groups are working to clarify the case, while appealing for cooperation and information from citizens to help find Cameron Twiss.
