Residents of Bërxulla protest again: Our state is deaf

The residents of Bëxulla have come out again in protest as they say that they are not against the Thumanë-Kashar segment that passes through their agricultural lands and residential areas, but they demand expropriation at the market value and the placement of underpasses or overpasses along the highway. The residents are determined that if an agreement is not reached with them, they will go to self-sacrifice.

The residents of Bëxulla have been protesting for a year, demanding talks with the government, but their request has not been taken into consideration so far.

Residents claim that they have not received any notification regarding the project, nor about the expropriations. According to them, the company Gener2, which won the concession, started work on the ground without a construction permit and in violation of the law, stressing that the compensation offered is ridiculous. Residents demand their own discussions and public consultation, warning that their protests will be unstoppable.
