The Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime has today checked the apartment in Vlora of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj.

While he is in the cell for abusing EU funds, SPAK searched his apartment, after the firemen broke down the door.

We remind you that the charge for which he was put in handcuffs is not related to his duties as Minister of Health in 2013-2017, but to the position he held as the head of the SASCAP State Agency, created to manage foreign donor aid, since the year 2021.

Ilir Beqaj is accused of the double procurement of an activity for the promotion of tourism, both by the ministry that covers this sector, and by the SASPAC agency that was headed by Beqaj.
