The Special Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the GJKKO in the case of the former head of the Korça Bar Association, Arben Lena, who, together with several other people, attempted to bribe a judge with 5 thousand euros.

According to the Special Prosecution Office, Arben Lena was part of a group of 5 people who attempted to bribe the Korça Appeals Court judges with 5,000 euros to release from detention Bledar Koziçi, arrested for refugee trafficking, whom Lena was defending.

The Criminal Court of Kosovo has sentenced lawyer Arben Lena and 5 other people to prison, who were found guilty of committing the criminal offense of "Exercising illegal influence over persons exercising public functions" committed in collaboration.

More specifically, Arben Lena was sentenced to 3 years in prison, but due to the summary trial, his sentence was reduced to 2 years in prison. He was also disqualified from practicing his profession for a period of 3 years.

Nikolla Hafësllari was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, but due to the summary trial, his sentence was reduced to 1 year in prison.

Nikolla Jescu was also sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, but due to the summary trial, his sentence was reduced to 1 year in prison.

Dajana Kodra (Ninga) was sentenced to 2 years in prison, but due to the summary trial, her sentence was reduced to 1 year and 4 months in prison. This citizen's sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for a period of 2 years and 8 months, on condition that during this period she does not commit another criminal offense and maintains regular contact with the Probation Service Office where she resides. She was also deprived of the right to practice her profession for a period of 1 month.

Blerand Kozici was sentenced to 2 years in prison, but due to the summary trial, his sentence was reduced to 1 year and 4 months in prison.

Artiana Kozici was sentenced to 1 year in prison, but due to the summary trial, her sentence was reduced to 8 months in prison. This citizen's sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for a period of 1 year and 4 months, on condition that during this time she does not commit another criminal offense and maintains regular contact with the Probation Service Office where she resides.

Meanwhile, Dritan Tabaku has been declared innocent of committing the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime", as according to the court the fact does not exist.
