File 339/2017 Electoral Crimes in Shijak, court sentences 21 commissioners to prison

The court of Durrës has sentenced to prison the commissioners of Shijak for the accusations of electoral crimes filed by the prosecution for the 2017 parliamentary elections.

The 21 commissioners were sentenced to prison and deprived of the right to exercise public functions for 5 years

Meanwhile, some of the defendants pleaded guilty and received a 1/3 reduction in sentence.

Penalties :  

Mark Mark is sentenced to 2.6 years reduced to 1.8 years

Redi Hysa 2.6, he has 1.8 years left

Indrit Bici 2.6 years left 1.8

Orchid Lala 1.6 remain 1 year from the abbreviated trial.

Jakup Bregu 2.6 years left 1.8

Qemal Domi is sentenced to 3 years and has 2 years left plus 4 years probation

Qemal Domi is sentenced to 1.6 months and has 1 year left

Amarild Black is sentenced to 4. 6 months left 3 years

All others were sentenced to three years in prison with 2 years left on trial.

The 21 commissioners involved belong to major and minor parties, such as SP, PD, LSI and PR. 14 of them are from the opposition (PD, LSI, PR) and 7 from the SP.
