Execution of Gentjan Bejtja, 50 Kalashnikov bullet casings at the scene

New details have emerged from the assassination attempt with firearms that took place yesterday afternoon in Fushë Krujë, where he was killed on the spot along with the former prison police officer, Gentjan Bejtja, a well-known name in the world of crime.

The serious incident took place in the backyard of Bejtja's house in the village of Larushk, and it is suspected that there were four people who participated in the assassination.

They had arrived with the Land Rover off-road vehicle around 4:20 p.m. in the alley where the victim's villa was located.

It is learned that the perpetrators found the door of the house open, while masked and with Kalashnikovs in their hands, they entered the apartment, where Bejtja was just a few meters away, while doing housework. At this moment, they fired a volley of bullets at him, leaving him dead on the spot, and then quickly left.

At the scene of the incident, the police found about 50 Kalashnikov cartridges, which according to preliminary data were fired by 3 Kalashnikovs.

After the crime, last night in the vicinity of the Fushë Kruja overpass, only a few kilometers from the scene, they burned the car.

From the investigations, it is suspected that another vehicle was waiting for them there and took them away from the country.

Gentian Bejtja, who was executed in his apartment in Fushë Krujë, is a name known to the police, with previous criminal records in the field of criminal offenses against the person and property, as well as previously arrested with an arsenal of weapons in the apartment .

He has also been investigated for the murder of Chief Commissioner Dritan Lamaj, after he was suspected together with Enver Stafuka, as one of the perpetrators of the theft of the car from which Lamaj was killed, in February 2013. Bejtja became known on February 26, 2013. one day after the murder of chief commissioner Dritan Lamaj, on "Petro Korçari" street, right next to his apartment.

Gentian Bejtja has previously been accused of two assassinations, the murder of Ilias Çali on the Tirana-Durres highway, in April 2022 and the assassination of Marklen Haka in June 2022, but no evidence was found to accuse him as a suspected perpetrator. .

Also, Gentian Bejtja is rumored to have been present at the time of the kidnapping of Enver Stafuka, on February 8, 2015. Stafuka was kidnapped in the area of ​​Fushë Kruja and disappeared without a trace from that moment. Durim Bami and Ramazan Rraja were also at the scene. Stafuka's fate was never revealed during this decade.
