Police operation "Scheme" is finalized, 7 suspects for fiscal fraud

The Section for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes in Durrës, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of this city, has finalized the coded operation "Scheme" after several months of investigation. As a result, 7 suspected persons have been identified for declaring fictitious financial data in order to avoid tax obligations, causing an economic damage of about 3 million euros to the state.

As part of this operation, the Court of Durrës has imposed security measures for 4 people, while 3 others have been declared wanted. The security measures implemented are:

Prison sentence for IA citizen, 48 years old, accused of creating fraudulent schemes related to value added tax.
House arrest for the AP citizen, 36 years old, for the same criminal offense.
Obligation to appear for the citizen AM, 34 years old, and for the citizen B. Ç., 34 years old, who is accused of failing to report a crime.
Three other wanted persons are:

IV, 35 years old
R. S., 22 years old
L. T., 19 years old
All three have been involved in this fraudulent scheme and have been assigned the security measure "Arrest with prison". Investigations show that administrators and employees of economic entities, which operated in the field of construction and support services, declared false income and expenses to avoid fiscal obligations.

The police continue the work to locate and arrest the wanted persons, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction for further actions.
