A new decision from the Court of Rome has arrived today, November 11, regarding the detention orders of immigrants in the Italian detention center for repatriation to Albania.

The immigration section has referred the case of migrants detained in the center in Albania to the European Court of Justice, suspending the validity of the detention measure.

The decision concerns seven immigrants, Egyptian and Bangladeshi, who are now inside the Italian detention center for the repatriation of Gjader, Italian media reports. 

In the next few hours the seven migrants - who arrived last Friday - will have to leave the facility.

A few weeks ago the magistrates of the immigration section of the Roman Court - referring to a judgment of the European Court of Justice - expressed their opinion to cancel the detention of 12 migrants, causing a clash with politics. that it is no longer stopped. "Another political punishment not against the government, but against the Italians and their security", commented Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Matteo Salvini.

Justice Minister Nordio, before the decision, had asked the judges not to criticize the laws, while the judges had accused the government of seeking confrontation. Compared to the first decisions, however, there was something new: in the meantime, a new legal decree has arrived that updates the list of countries of origin of immigrants considered safe by Italy.
