The Tirana court has placed under house arrest the general secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Arlind Gjokutaj, the legal director Fatmir Hoxha and the bailiff Alban Ruli, who are accused of abuse of office.
We remind you that the General Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, together with two other persons, are accused of compensating the citizen Ilir Thana for the privatization of a state-owned enterprise, despite the fact that he was paid another time.
All three of these people are suspected of having caused a damage of 1.2 million euros to the state. Of this amount, Ilir Thana received only €400,000, while the rest of the money would go to Ilir Thana in the following months, but the fraud scheme was stopped.
