The police in Gjirokastër arrested a 36-year-old man, who was wanted for providing assistance for illegal border crossing.

In the month of March, he tried to transport, against payment, a foreign citizen to cross the border illegally.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions.

POLICE NOTICE:

A 36-year-old wanted for providing assistance for illegal border crossing was arrested and put in handcuffs.

In March, the 36-year-old tried to transport a foreign citizen by vehicle, against payment, so that he could cross the border illegally.

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics, following the work to capture the citizens declared wanted and bring them to legal responsibility, based on the information provided by the intelligence, in cooperation with Police Station No. 5, Tirana, captured and detained RM citizens, 36 years old, resident of Tirana.

The 36-year-old was declared wanted, after on 20.03.2023, at the place called "Ura e Kardhiqi", after the sign from the Police, to stop the vehicle, he left and then abandoned the vehicle with which he was transporting a foreign national, against payment, in order to help him to cross the border illegally.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions.
