Former Board Member: Albanian American Fund, Rama and Soros' corrupt "tool"

Former Board Member: Albanian American Fund, Rama and Soros' corrupt

Cafo Boga, former member of the Board of Directors of the Albanian American Fund, has shown how the finances benefited Edi Rama's government and not the Albanian people.

During the confession, Cafo Boga made strong accusations against Mayor Michael Granoff, who he says had become a "tool" of Edi Rama and George Soros.

Boga underlined that the Foundation had lost the mission of the American government, while as he points out, within the board there had been concerns that these funds were going towards the corrupt government led by Edi Rama.

"It has been more than two years since I felt compelled to raise my concerns at the annual meeting of the Board of the Albanian American Development Fund, where I respectfully emphasized that the Foundation has lost its direction and is no longer fulfilling the objectives and mission of the US government, despite oversight by USAID.

I asked Chairman Michael Granoff and the Board members to reevaluate our activities, especially those that primarily benefit the government rather than the people of Albania. I emphasized that the government has become fundamentally corrupt and that aligning with it is inconsistent with our mission. However, the Chairman, who has recently treated the Foundation as his personal domain and is closely aligned with the government, ignored my concerns and unlawfully removed me from the Board,” Boga emphasizes.

A former member of the Board of Directors of the Albanian American Fund tells how this Foundation had transformed into an enigmatic organization, endangering the cultural heritage of the Albanian people and neglecting UNESCO mandates.

During the testimony, Cafo Boga emphasized that USAID had also become part of what is called the corrupt "Deep State", supporting individuals like Michael Granoff and activities led by George Soros.

“I could not imagine myself remaining on this Board, so I did not oppose the decision. Later, I noticed that the Foundation had turned into an enigmatic organization, endangering the cultural heritage of the Albanian people and neglecting UNESCO mandates, starting with Butrint and extending to other places.

I became increasingly alarmed by the troubling developments under the narcissistic self-appointed Chairman Michael Granoff, who was undermining the great work that the original members of the Board, appointed by the President of the United States, including myself, had done, for which the Albanian people held us in high regard.

Trying to do something to help the Albanian people, I contacted Samantha Power at USAID twice about the recent illegal activities of the Albanian American Fund, but received no response. It became clear to me that the situation was more serious than I initially thought, and that USAID is also part of the so-called corrupt “Deep State,” supporting individuals like Michael Granoff and activities run by George Soros.

However, nothing is permanent, especially in a country like the United States where democracy is a reality and not just a concept. Since the inauguration of President Donald Trump, we have already seen significant changes within what he refers to as the “Deep State,” which includes USAID. It is therefore not surprising that Elon Musk has labeled it a “criminal enterprise.” Perhaps merging USAID with the State Department as suggested may be the best course of action moving forward.

The changes taking place in the United States will undoubtedly affect the American Shqip Fund, which faces the possibility of closure. I sincerely hope that those on the Board, who have neglected their fiduciary duties, will be held accountable by the government that appointed them.

Also, the two co-executive directors of the Fund, who for personal financial gain have significantly damaged the National Heritage of Albania by helping the President advance his agenda, should be held accountable under Albanian law. I believe the President will have to answer to the US government and justify how two Albanian citizens employed by a non-profit organization in Albania were rewarded at a level greater than that of a US congressman,” said Cafo Boga.
