The police of Vlorë have prevented a criminal event, after a 51-year-old man threatened to kill his neighbor with a firearm.

During the search of his apartment, the Police services found and confiscated a Kalashnikov firearm, hidden in a barrel, along with two combs and 75 cartridges.

"Thanks to the timely intervention and professional actions of the services of the Vlora Police Station, a crime was prevented that could have serious consequences for life.

The 51-year-old man who threatened to kill his neighbor with a firearm is arrested.

A Kalashnikov firearm and cartridges were seized from the suspect's apartment.

The services of the Vlora Police Station, following the work to guarantee the rule of law in the territory, after receiving information that a citizen possessed a firearm and had a conflict with his neighbor, a conflict that had reached serious threats to life, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Strike 21", in the framework of which the citizen was caught and arrested in the act:

EB, 51 years old, resident of Vlora.

During the search of this citizen's apartment, the police services found and confiscated a Kalashnikov firearm, hidden in a barrel, along with two combs and 75 cartridges," the police announced. 

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Vlora, for further actions.
