Claiming innocence, Fredi Beleri submits an appeal to the Supreme Court

Fredi Beleri has submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court, two weeks after he was released from the cell. Beleri and his defense plead not guilty.

The request was filed this Monday by his lawyer Klodjana Gjyzari at the court's secretariat.

The Court of First Instance and the Court of Special Appeal sentenced the former mayor to 2 years in prison for corruption in the elections of May 14, 2023.
